On Thursday 12th October at 8pm , Dr Maria Stack will be presenting a webinar on Trigeminal Neuralgia – Update for GPs. Trigeminal Neuralgia is the excruciating facial pain also known as the suicide disease, this masterclass will explore why surgical treatment is now the best treatment.

About the Speaker: Dr Maria Harriet Stack, MB BCH BAO DCH DOBS AME CAA
Dr Maria Harriet Stack is an experienced GP, completing her vocational training in the UK in 1989. Following this Dr Stack became an equity partner and GP Principal in a practice in Farnborough, Hampshire until 2002. Whilst in Farnborough, Dr Stack developed an interest in Aviation medicine and undertook the basic and advanced certificates in Aviation Medicine at King’s College, University of London. Dr Stack also undertook fitness to fly medicals and was the medical contributor to the book ‘In-flight fitness’ which was published in 2002, during a time of increased public awareness regarding DVT and ‘economy class syndrome’
Dr Stack prior to her GP training did a SHO rotation in Anaesthesia and developed an interest in Pain management.
Currently based in Ireland on sabbatical leave from the front line of General Practice, Dr Stack is doing research into Trigeminal Neuralgia also known as the Suicide Disease..in the last 6 months, Dr Stack has published two scientific papers on this Hot Topic.
